Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a x type, 2005 2.5.
Heres the problem,
when i take off, at about 30 mph a loud whinny noise comes from under rear seat.
It stops right after 3o mph and i wount hear it until i decrease my speed to 30 mph?
Its got me freakin out, i have a 1000 mile trip comming up for work an im a little skidish about driving her now.

I saw a post about this but when i returned to review it, the one thing i was looking for were the photos and now the photos dont show up?? Does anyone kno if wild bill took the photos down in his post or is it my cpu giving issues viewing images??

Sounds like a classic case of the propshaft. That is a known problem on our cars. More annoyong than anything. Costs about $1000 to replace, but you can live with it. Do some searches on here for propshaft and you'll get the complete lowdown and more. You should be fine to go on your trip if you can stand the noise. Mine was luckily replaced under warranty at about 45K miles.

Thank you so much for the info!! Im gonna still change the diff lube, because of what i have read about the lack of gear oil in them!! You have brought a great deal of easy to me with this info, i can handle the whining, its only at 25 mph, i like to travel at 80!!LOL!!

Ya its 'normal'. I think it sounds cool. My old lady gets freaked out when she hears it. Its kinda funny
