I'm currently in the process of buying all the parts required for a coolant system overhaul and have reached a roadblock with a coolant pipe. Jaguar calls it the oil cooler outlet pipe and it runs between the oil cooler and thermostat. It can be bought for £130 from Jaguar which I don't feel happy paying for an aluminium pipe that doesn't need replaced and two small lengths of hose. The hose that connects to the thermostat can be purchased separately from Jaguar for £13 - very nice, but the other hose doesn't seem to be available and I'm almost positive that it is a different diameter hose. Would anyone be able to help me out with measurements? I think it might be 27mm ID as that is what the lower radiator hose is which connects to the inlet of the oil cooler. I did also find a TSB from Jag about adding an additional clamp to the hose on the thermostat which I will retain as my car currently has it fitted.

The second problem which I can't see an easy way out of is the water pump belt tensioner. I bought a second hand one to refurb before fitting but cracked the pulley pressing out the bearing, in hindsight I should have put it on the lathe and removed the plastic lip that keeps the bearing in the place. Anyway I attempted to source a replacement pulley in the UK but have been unable to so I think my only options left are to either buy a new tensioner or machine a replacement pulley out of aluminium and have the ability to swap bearings when needed. The car only has 70k miles so the tensioner on the car is still fine but the bearing has a ever so slight squeak.
