Default 3.0, oil pan, blind holes?

anyone know if oil pan threads are blind holes or if they go through to the crankcase and require thread sealant? I'm trying to rule out anything before replacing oil pan gasket. leak right under oil filter boss. cleaned everything up, appears to be coming from gasket, or bolt. oil dripping on exhaust.
also anyone know what page oil pan removal is on in factory service manual. I'm in over my head with 2800 pages. thanks for any help.

I thumbed through that and was shocked at what was required. I'll read the whole thing in the morning. but thank you for sending it my way. I'm gonna remove the t case(gearbox) if I can get a good look at my clutch disc.

I replaced the gasket. drilled the tc mount. piece of cake. could have used a 3/4 holesaw instead of a 7/8.
