have you done a thorough trouble shooting?
From what I have learned they can shut down if the fibre optic cables are bent too sharply..
can be reset by unplugging everything and straightening the cables.
Also there is a software update for the ACM, and newer cables. I forget the details. one of the techs can help.

the acm connects and ipod or similar mp3 device and it plays through the factory stereo. i know, it may not sound to impressive but i could not own a car without this after having it. i still can not figure out what is wrong with mine and it is driving me nuts! cd's suck compared to the ipod what type of tests can i conduct to figure out what is wrong???

You might try taking out your ash try and lighter, so you have some room to move and tap on some wires, including the fiber cable. It's sounds goofy, but I cleared up a problem with the power coming and going to the head unit, do just that.
Speaking of the head unit, if you connected and re-connected everything, that maybe where the problem is.
