have you done a thorough trouble shooting?
From what I have learned they can shut down if the fibre optic cables are bent too sharply..
can be reset by unplugging everything and straightening the cables.
Also there is a software update for the ACM, and newer cables. I forget the details. one of the techs can help.

i have unplugged everything and plugged it back in. When i have everything plugged into it , i get no sound from the speakers. when i have the CM unplugged i get sound but the iPod wont work. I checked the cables with a flash light and they seem to be sending light.
Any suggestions??

the acm connects and ipod or similar mp3 device and it plays through the factory stereo. i know, it may not sound to impressive but i could not own a car without this after having it. i still can not figure out what is wrong with mine and it is driving me nuts! cd's suck compared to the ipod
what type of tests can i conduct to figure out what is wrong???

You might try taking out your ash try and lighter, so you have some room to move and tap on some wires, including the fiber cable. It's sounds goofy, but I cleared up a problem with the power coming and going to the head unit, do just that.
Speaking of the head unit, if you connected and re-connected everything, that maybe where the problem is.

thanks jamey, i have removed the whole head unit and the ash tray already. the problem was there before i disconnected and reconnected everything... do you mean "tap" as like taking my hand and hitting the wires??
