I am looking for an ACM to buy, if any one has one or knows where i can find one that would be great. I was hoping to keep it under $300.

Probably not going to find one under $300. I got mine for $383 on terrysjag.com a few weeks ago, that was the cheapest I could find one for online.

See my original thread where we've been discussing the ACM:

Thanks so much, i found one on www.oempartcatalog.com for $340. When you connect through the AUX can you control the music by the device?

Good find, I'd be interested in seeing if the shipping really is free though. I recommended terrysjag because it was the cheapest after shipping/tax

Connecting through Aux-In will not allow you to control a device. That's impossible since Aux wiring only transmits audio. However, the iPod connection and USB port both allow you to do what you've described.

Thanks so much, I will be putting in my order sometime this week. On an unrelated note, do you like the 2011 Camry?

Sorry one more question, can you hook up an amp to the acm, or do I need to run it straight to the head unit.

Yeah the 2011 is nice, I hate the way they made the 2012s look. It rides very smooth and has never had a problem. Of course the X-Type is much more sporty and powerful but it's good to have a car to fall back on when the X acts up.

Not sure what you mean. My car has the Alpine premium audio which comes with an amp and sub-woofers from the factory. The ACM is fully compatible with it, however if you're referring to adding an aftermarket amp I'm not sure

Thanks, my brother is a Toyota car salesman and has been trying to talk me into the Camry. I was not much on the looks of the newest model so was looking at the 2011.

I was wondering about an aftermarket system, i wish i had the alpine premium sound but alas i do not. I do have the chrome rings around my speakers which i read somewhere on here means I do have premium sound but i know for a fact that I do not.

It's a reliable and affordable car, you can't go wrong if that's what you're looking for.

I have the Alpine system and I can tell you that if you did have it you would see "Alpine" printed on the speaker grilles. I'm not sure that the chrome surrounds differ between the systems but then again I've never had another X-Type to compare it to.

The ACM came in, it is the complete kit and the shipping was free. I am extremely pleased and now can't wait to install. Any tips would be great, if any one knows a video i could watch that would be great.

No video, but see the installation section of this page: http://www.jimrothe.com/jaguar/acm-bluetooth/acm.html#installation. If you have a small electric screwdriver that can take drill bits - one with a right-angle head - that will help with the console-mounted switch assembly, but it's not essential.
