Why don't you just wait for the acm since your getting the aftermarket unit?

here is a pic of all you see once it is installed. this is looking down at the center console. rca plugs on the unit, usb and ipod on cables. if you have the cd changer, the button below (next to in actuality) is a bypass allowing the cd changer to work instead of the ACM.

How much is that acm again nineball? You have the stock radio correct? If so did you use the speaker converter to make rca's for your amp? Finish the boxes yet?

suggested retail cost is $249 plus 1 hour of labor, but pricing varies by dealer. still have the stock head unit, used inline rca taps on rear speaker wires at the rear of the radio for amp input. boxes done, amp rack is not. working on design #3 currently since i haven't liked anything i have come up with yet.

I have tried wired modulators before, and found they reduce the quality of the radio signal. I have a wireless one now, which does give lousy sound quality. So still tink ACM is way to go if you have a CD player.

Thanks for the pics nineball. I'm still trying to find a place (rather than the dealer) that could sell & install the ACM in my area.

Personally, I kinda like having the CD Changer in the back and the sound quality I get from my Nano Tunedeck is better than CD quality.

i really doubt you will find anyone in your area that will sell you the ACM system other than a factory jaguar dealer. as far as installation, any professional mobile audio shop should be able to handle it and there are detailed instructions available on the web.

i believe there is a adapter to convert big (computer) USB to small (blackberry) usb. If you find that I dont see there being an issue. As far as a ACm goes, my buddy bought this fm modulator which had wires for both big and small usb so you can hook up a usb key or in his case his samsung instinct. We were in his car watching music videos off of youtube with full sound through the factory speakers. He even had a cellphone mount to mount it up on his windshield. it was pretty cool but too bad the screen was liek only 3 inches. I maybe goign to the states in the next week or 2 I will find out what brand it is and where to buy it. He said it was cheaper than $30

i found something better than fm module and tape adapter. i saw a clarion Eq with a front AUX in the front. just connect your ipod or mp3 with rca wire.

Where did you find a place to plug rca's into? If I'm not mistaken the connection for the radio is all done with fiberoptics...

But I'm pretty sure the acm taps into the fiber optics of the car to use it. I don't know of a rca connector for it...I've never done it though either so I don't really know for sure but I don't think there is just a set of rca's to connect it to. I know on the back of my radio there wasn't any form of connection on the back.
