I am upgrading the subs in my 2004 X-Type since the stock premium alpine ones no longer work. I just need some information on how to take out the rear parcel shelf trim. I don't want to damage it (made of that material that will be ruined if you crease/fold it). I saw that there were two clips near the back vent on each side that held it to the metal, which I slid out of the way. Other than that though is there anything? I isn't coming out with a simple tug. The workshop manual is useless here all it says is "remove the parcel shelf"

The video was helpful. I was able to take out the trim and get to the subs. Now I need to figure out how to mount the new ones. I can't just drill holes into the metal and screw them in (the holes the subs go in are too wide). BTW I bought two JL 6w3v3 subs.
