Hi all, I have just bought my first x type and have red gear box warming lamp on and its in limp mode, plugged my souls in and have p1780 4-d switch malfunction. I have changed the j gate and rotary switch on top of box (4-d switch maybe ). Still fault remains. If I drive with red lamp on I get 4 gear changes and limp mode , if I clear code and drive I get 5 gear changes and slightly better performance , now if I start car and select D quickly I get full power and 5 gear changeable red lamp on (so in my opinion car drives as it should) , this only lasts until I select reverse then light comes back on handling mode continues .
