Allu, the switch is only half of the circuit needed to make the headlights turn on automatically. You also need a sensor to tell the circuit to activate. This would be located in the center of the dash, up near where the windshield touches the dash. The sensor is a small black ball that measures how bright it is outside. You need to install that piece too. This will most likely involve you having to remove the radio to get to where this sensor can be fitted into the dash. Then you will need to find the plug for the sensor which is going to be tucked away with a jumper piece in it. Where exactly you will find that is hard to say. BUt, it should be in the general area behind the radio. Granted, it is possible that your car was not wired with this additional wiring, which will make this much harder to to make functional as you will have to start cutting wiring and adding to the wiring harness.
