Default Aux Input

I am looking to put an aux input into my Xtype. ACM is out of the question I just can't justify the cost.

The car has factory Sirius radio which i won't be using. Does the factory Sirius radio connect via FM modulator or is it hard wired?

Also the car has monitors in the headrests could i run a RCA to 3.5mm cable from the system to use as my aux cord?

The factory Sirius uses FM modulator that is wired in the radio antenna.
The rear entertainment system is separate from the rest of the car and not connected to the audio system.

I have a solution similar to the ACM, for about half the price:

As an alternative one forum member managed to hook an RCA input in the car CD player:

Thanks veffremov, but I have decided to remove the Sirius system all together, source an ashtray assembly, and go with either an isimple system or a similar one by audiovox.

Anyone interested in the factory Sirius radio system?

Need some help from any car audio people

I decided to go with the isimple is32 modulator for the car. It provides a usb charging port and an aux input. I would like to be able to also have bluetooth but still want to have the aux input as well.

The is32 unit comes with one set of RCA audio inputs for the aux cord while the usb only serves as a charger. Is there a way to adapt the system so i could have two rca inputs one for aux another for usb?

I would use the usb to connect to the car using a a2dp bluetooth receiver.

I too have a similar unit to what you have mines (access bluetooth)can't complain
At $100, the unit has bluetooth receiver /with USB charger /3.5mm RCA in/ and
it converts to fm with a antenna disconnect
Switch and 3 separate fm Channels to avoid interference ,
But the sound quality is ok but nothing near as good as cd
Or MD or radio mainly for volume and a wee bit of hiss at high
Volumes !
Any way I only will be using that for charging from here on in ,
As I bought 1 of veffremov's bluetooth d2b streeming devices
And it is wicked good!! Really clear , really loud and really
Easy to install ! Also a very tiny device . Love it great value
Thanks veffremov,cool gadget !
