Default battery hold down bolts - RESOLVED

I recently replaced the battery in my 2005 X-type. Along the way the front hold down bolt ran away. I tried to replace it with a 1/4"-20 bolt, but that doesn't quite fit into the slot. I suspect the bolt is actually an M6. Does anyone know what the bolt's diameter and pitch is? M6 bolts long enough to fit arenot common in hardware stores, and with good reason. I cam order long M6 bolts online, but knowing for sure this is an M6 bolt would give me confidence I am ordering the right one.

BTW, it doesn't immediately appear that the front hold down bolt is necessary.

Never mind; I found the nut. It is an M6x1.0. I am guessing that 4" or 100mm long will do the job.

I see you answered your own question so I've added 'RESOLVED' to your thread title.

Here's the confirmation of the nut size from Jaguar EPC:

Can't you do a measurement from the hook up hole on the tray to the hold down trap on top of the battery? I think it's longer than the height of the battery.
