Default Bluetooth Module - how to reset/fix?

Having used an iPhone 3GS for over 2 years with no problems I was deeply disappointed to find that within 24hrs of registering my iPhone 4S my screen now display the message: "there is no phone fitted to this car".

Can anyone advise on a remedy?

Thanks

Good question. I now get the same msg on the touchscreen in my 2006 S Type about 2 or 3 times per month (using a simple Nokia phone). Also "Handset in Use. Replace Handset" a couple of times per month. Both will usually clear by restarting the car (sometimes twice). Which is not convenient while driving in traffic!

I also got the "handset in Use.." with my 3GS but as you said this usually cleared, sometimes by restarting the car or just restarting the phone.

This has been 4 weeks now. I had the battery disconnected yesterday to the audio unit but this did not clear it. I am going to try disconnecting the battery itself.

Take a look at X-Type TSB XT419-03 (available on this forum).

Doesn't mention S Types but may apply for you.
