Hi all,
just curious re Arden sporty look.
I was trawling the net the other night and came across this beautiful lookin X for sale. Had all the mods, 18" wheels, meshed grilles etc etc etc. However, the lower meshed grille was described as a fairing, implying a bolt on add on.
Does anyone know if this is possible / available or not?
I already love the look of my car but would seriously consider this if possible as an alternative to the full bumper replacement within a sports lowering kit.

Hi Guys,
did a bit of checking and found the website again....a few pics below. A lovely looking car I think you'll agree, except too much chrome for my tastes. Anyways, read on down below " Specification - extras - Bodywork - Front lower fairing

Anybody know the answer to this one??

Stunning Arden Jaguar 3.0 X-Type AUTO 4WD........

One of the prettiest Jaguars made, the X-type can also be one of the most exclusive when converted to Arden specification. Subtle bodywork enhancements, unique alloy wheels, mesh grilles, braking upgrades, lowered suspension and special interior trim are just some of the special components that are included with this unique Jaguar.

Specification (extras):
Bodywork
• Front lower fairing
• Side sills
• Rear lower valance
• Boot lid spoiler
• Main front air intake grille (stainless mesh)
• Lower front air intake grille(stainless mesh)

etc etc etc etc

I'v just been on the Arden website looking at styling upgrades / bodykits etc. The Jaguar in the pics I've posted are the ones they use to promote their products. Looks like a good deal for some enthusiast £12,500 for 03 3.0 with all the Arden bits n pieces........ a steal!

the front lower fairing is just part of the arden body kit. it is a 4 piece kit, front, rear and 2 side skirts. there is a seller on ebay selling the kit for $850 plus whatever shipping he is charging. has been there for quite some time, and used to be at $950. just look at the front bumper on your X and then again at this one - it won't be hard to tell the difference. the only thing to worry about with the body kit is the installation. some do it with double sided tape, some use screws and then cover them with bondo (dent filler).

personally, i am not a fan of the kit. i don't like the lines between the kit and the car. they are very pronounced and look like a bad aftermarket kit imo.

Tell you what Buck, that's funny, we must think alike. You know thats one of the first things I thought when I looked at the car......Apart from that looks good though.

I think its all about color scheme. That silver clean look would look even better with clear side markers, but my maroon jags color scheme looks out of place with clear or tinted side markers...maybe its just me.

I guess I just havent seen a clean looking maroon or red jag with clear or tinted side markers??
