Default A/C dryer that will fit

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket a/c dryer that will fit with no problems?

I bought a OEM compressor, orifice tube and aftermarket dryer to replace a leaky compressor.

The OEM compressor fit problem free, but the original dryer had to be refitted because the aftermarket one would not fit. Fittings not quite the same. A/C cools fine, but I think I should still have a new dryer installed. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket brand that they have fitted problem free??

Hmmm, not sure on that. Have you tried going to Ford, as they probably have one that is the same, just cheaper?

Thanks for your reply- there are a few aftermarket brands out there for the X type. One of them might fit.

If someone has fitted these aftermarket dryers let me know what kind please

I have a(2) question: Why it must have new dryer and orifice tube when we replaced AC compressor?
How to remove the dryer tube (The end that go trough the fender near the ECU) is it need special tool? I removed the dryer but it seem like can not pull the tube out of connector.
Where does orifice tube goes in?
Thanks any reply.

Update

First Aftermarket dryer was completely impossible to fit in. The brackets where of, plus the fixture where the hose plugs in was oriented in the opposite direction. Brand was "Pronto".

Second aftermarket dryer fit, but the brackets where still way of. Tech ended up having to drill a new hole with a self tapping screw to secure it. Brand was "Murray" from local O Reilly's

Should have probably gone with the OEM part, but after already having paid for a genuine compressor I was not wanting to spend 200 plus on the dryer/accumulator.
