I have a question regarding the ac temp controls on the X-type. Can the controls on above the radio be moved down if you had a bezel that fit the lower profile of the radio cd area. The reason I ask is that I have wanted to install a double din navigation unit in my car. I like the look and location of the factory nav/sat (my car just has ac, radio, and cd) but don't want to spend the money getting all the components together and then using a system that is old tech. But I also do not like the fact that an after market unit sits so far down. I have seen where members on the forum have installed touch screens or tablets so I was thinking of relocating the ac controls lower and using my iPad mini 2 and an audison bit one for my radio, mp3, and navigation needs. I recently had access to a 3d printer and think I can manufacture a composite bracket to fit the ac controls and iPad but didn't know if it's worth the effort? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
