can a used BCM be used for a 2010 Jaguar xf?

Kindly assist with this question , I have a Jaguar XF in my garage with bcm issues I.e battery draining , so I ordered a used one due to the cost of a brand new one but the car key didn't recognize the used bcm . Can I program the used bcm ?

The module does not have to be syncronized and is plug and play. The new module must have the same part number and suffix that is on the old module or VCATS label under the carpet covers in the trunk.
