I've copied this question from your Intro for advice from members with the same model.

Hope it's an easy fix.

Thank you for the ideas. 8000 miles ago a different problem prompted me to install a new conductor plate and six new shift solenoids. At the same time I realized that a failing freezing shift cable was not putting the trans shift lever exactly where the console shifter switch thought the gear selection should be, Hence I installed new shift cable (which also fixed the door unlocking problem). Everything worked great for 8000 miles, with no signs of transmission fluid leaking. tonight I did find the transfluid to be 1 quart low. so I added 1.5 quarts. The "P0730 gear ratio incorrect" still doesn't clear with with my OBD-2 scanner. Is a "hard reset" disconnecting the battery overnight?
Thanks again,
Mike
