BTW, I believe Euro spec cars come fitted with clear center side markers from the factory, but the front and rear side markers on the bumper are U.S. only. The Euro spec bumper moldings hide the holes for the side markers and can probably be purchased through a Jag dealer.

Man those prices for front n rear marker lenses are a REAL rip off.........They are a US spec though, as we don't have them in the UK.
I replaced my old side repeaters with clear lenses for £24.............so the prices being quoted for the front n rear markers are outta this world!

Yeah no doubt....Man sonic you must have some money to spend if you'll spend 350 on the 6 lights! I could never fathom spending that much on those clear lenses...now taillights are a different story but those are like 800!

Hey Aquill.......yeah man, I got the ECU done on the Audi and it makes a real difference. Well worth the £650 I paid for it. As it was done thru the Audi dealer the warranty remains intact...so thats good.
Its made a real difference to the power both in terms of bhp and the amount of torque available......really good mid range grunt especially between 2nd and 3rd and also between 3rd n 4th......still pulls well even in 6th. There's also more top end available now too.
I had it at 135 on the clock the other day and there was still plenty pf rpm left......so I reckon 145 - 150 would be achievable.
They initially wanted £650 + the vat taking it to around £175 but I talked them round and saved a little.
Well pleased as the fuel economy actually seems better too by about 10%.

Jim

I am glad it worked so well for you Jim. When you get ECU done , you get more HP ,more torque and conversely better MPG

I love how the audis Chip has a huge increase in their cars. If onlythe X had a chip with 30-40 extra gain. my friend had a audi A4 B6 and his increase went from 170hp(not tested, just whatAudi say)to 223hp

I think a dyno test woull tell the truth for sure. I think you can get 30-40 HP gain that sounds normal

That is very impressive! The question is though why do they not just put that in the car if it makes the car get better mpg more power and what not straight from the factory. For that car to reach the hp mark that jag has on the x you have to buy that? Why not just include it with the car? To me the x isn't as bad as we might think!

I agree with quil. I think that the sales for that saab would also BOOST if it made that much power, and even better gas mileage for only $400 more.

I can only say that why car manufacturers don't put that is they want to make a room for aftermarket tuners or their dealers .

Not really cadi, because Nissan doesn't benefit at all from how great the aftermarket is for their Nissan 240sx! My 240sx has been discontinued for 10 years, and the resale value of my car has INCREASED in the last 3 years. However, Nissan doesn't make squat from second hand sales, nor would they make anything from an aftermarket intake and exhaust made by HKS! Also, MOST people buying a car don't see possible number with after market upgrades. They see the HP and TQ numbers right off the bat!

Good for you bigge . It's a very rare occasion a car just after 10 years discontinuing of its production will increase its resale value and if it's a jap

Thanks Cadi. The only reason that my car has appreciated, is because of all of this fast and the furious junk. My car has nearly doubled in value. Either way. That's not something that would benefit Nissan, other than the fact that maybe 240sx owners would like to buy the 350z or the upcoming GT-R! However, the 350z sells itself. It's a great car at a great price!

The movie didn't necessarily cause the price spike, instead it just opened the eyes to the drifting scene and drifting as a sport has increased and the 240sx is one of the best drift vehicles! Therefore the price of the 240sx has increased. Not like it's worth 10K or anything, but 3 years ago my car was barely worth $1500 and now I've had people offer as much as $4k.
