Default Coolant Reservior... This Sucks!!!!!!

The plastic nipple broke off of the reservior coolant return line facing the right side of the car.

The engine was overheating and I could smell coolant. Checked it out and could see where the coolant was leaking from. checked the hose and it just came off in my hand. It was cracked almost all the way through. I'm guessing heat caused the failure?? What a cheap piece of crap!!

The plastic "nipple" broke off too close to the reservoir to fix it. Any ideas on how I can fix this other than searching for a salvaged reservoir?

Thanks.

to bad you hadnt found earlier, I just sold a new 1 here yesturday for $75. theyre about $125 new just get a new one. You do drive a Jaguar, fix it properly. While you can epoxy it, the danger of it breaking again and leaving you stranded or worse with engine damage

If you purchased your X from a Jaguar dealer and it is still under warranty they will replace it free for you. This is a known issue at Jaguar and mine broke earlier this yr. I took it into the dealer thinking I would have to pay for it, but it was covered under warranty and I didnt pay anything.
