has anyone fitted cranksensor if so where is it located and what do I have to remove to get to it please 2006 2.2 diesel x type

 

The position sensor is located at approximately 1 o'clock on the rear of the engine s you are looking at the engine. You will see an electrical connector plugged into the sensor. Once you remove the plug you will have access to the fastener holding it in place. Remove it and extract the sensor. Installation is the reverse.

 

Part number is JD61138. My Haynes manual says it's "...on top of the bellhousing to the rear."
