I was up on I 90 today going to NH. I had to pass some buffoon that was doing 45 or so MPH in the right lane. So I decided to press the pedal to the floor, I also had it in sport mode. I moved into the clear left lane and I pressed the pedal to the floor. The 2.5L took off I kept my eye on the tach and at 7K it finally shifted up. The downshift was surprisingly fast also. The speed was around 95 plus or minus. I really didn't pay much attention to that. As I realized if there is a lawman around I am so secured. I then set the cruise to 69 approx and went my merry way.

I read a original 03 road test of my car on line last night and it generally got a good write up. It tested the 2.5L and gave gas mileage as 22 highway and 16 city about what I get. the tested car was automatic. The article also praised the Connolly leather and the general design of the interior. It also praised the looks of the car saying it looks much better outside then in the showroom. The article went on to say Jaguar has seemed to fixed all of the 02 problems, which they said were AC related, turn signal related, drive shaft coupling and door locks especially the drivers door. I know on my car there is a service record from 03 which read the rod was replaced on the door pull as customer complained of hard opening of drivers door under warranty. That the only warranty work I can find on the paperwork I had which dates from 03 to May 2010. Most of the other were standard maintenance. Forget however what site I was on as I was going crazy trying to find out what CDC is on the radio.
