hi I am hoping to get some insight to this problem that I am having I bought a 2002 x type and of course as soon as the 30 day warranty is up the check engine light comes on accompanied by the dash telling me that cruise is not available (which is not true) ive checked hoses cleaned the mass air flow sensor reset the code and yet still keeps popping up and will stutter when switching between 2nd and 3rd gear don't want to continue to drive and have a major problem because I didn't fix something small. any tips would be greatly appreciated thank you for reading

What codes are you getting? If you post them here someone will most likely be able to diagnose. My guess would be a wheel speed sensor. Do a search on here and you will find plenty of discussion about that. Not a huge problem to resolve and is fairly common.

 

the only code I got was p0174 I cleaned the mass air flow sensor and reset it and it was fine for a week or so then it came back on

 

The CEL will have come back after two consecutive 'trips' because the fault wasn't cleared.

There's more than just a dirty MAF can cause P0174. Here's the list of possible causes:



Air intake leaks is a regular but also plenty more there to check.
