mayor111, I think I know of which hose you speak. 90 degree bend and connects into the "bellows" between the airbox and the MAF? If that is leaking it could also cause lean codes as a vacuum leak and likely could have been jostled when you moved the top of the airbox. Check to make sure it is seated tightly. Inspect it for holes and or cracks. Even wrap it tightly in tape ti see if the hissing stops. I could understand if your CEL stayed with you for a few more starts but for it to go off and then come back on later makes me suspect you still have a leak. Any more restricted performance when you drive?

Ok - I will check that hose out completely. Cant I run really soapy water over the hose while the car is running to check for leaks? I know thats how my old Audi shop used to check for holes in tires...

As for performance, the car is running fantastic. My commute home last night (about 50 miles @ 65 MPH) earned me 29.4 MPG...Im not complaining at all...

Will there always be a slight hiss/air flow sound coming from the IMT area? I mean I was able to "feel" air leaking before the O-Rings were replaced - but afterwards, I ran soapy water and there was ZERO leakage, but I still hear air flowing (not really a hiss) coming from the general area - but it might be that hose I have'nt checked yet...

I listened under my hood for you. Other than the noise of the air going into the airbox I have no hissing so if you're hearing some you have a leak, likely why the CEL is back on. I got a CEL for not tightening my gas cap enough so it is sensative.

I agree with Mohrd...it may stay on after a few more cycles of running the car. Codes stay on for a few warm cycle runs of the vehicle. Still check around tho. Even tho you may hear the airbox or fuel injectors. Drive it the rest of the week and see if its still there.

Glad to hear it MAYOR!!!! Im sure it will stay off. I mean like i said you can still poke around so your satisfied. But im willin to bet we nailed it on the IMT. The other thing your hearin may be the sound of the fan, injectors, intake, pulley but overall lets see where this takes you and go from there. Congrats anyway. Always a good feeling
