Fitted the Ring xenon bulbs today. Found the job a pain but not too bad. Passenger side UK was easy. drivers side not so. Looking at the lamps from outside "one new one old" there seems to be a considerable difference. May take her out for a run tonight and a beam height test against the garage doors. I marked where the old beams were.

Good to hear.
When I fitted these upgraded bulbs to my old Mazda 626, it did make a worthwhile improvement, I have yet to fit them in the x type, as I still have other issues to sort out first.

Checked the beam position and the new bulbs throw almost exactly the same pattern.
Took her out for a spin and although the beams are a lot "whiter" the distance illuminated does not seem much better. Reflective road signs are picked up earlier.
As the bulbs only cost £12 the pair I consider it was worth the effort.
