If you mean a black plastic on the outside like the two on the side then no, there isn't one so you aren't missing it.

 

My '02 X-Type has no upper windshield molding. Thought it strange when I bought the car a few days ago, but had no indication of leakage so figured it was just a "Jag Thang".. lol

 

Mine was missing the passenger side front windshield molding. Went to a junkyard that has a number of jag's and bought both the right and left side for $45 bucks out the door. I got home and then wondered if I needed a top one too -- I guess your post answers my question too

Next I got to find a new passenger side wheel well liner since the one I have is cracked - These X's seem to be a work in progress ...
