I'm new to the forum and i'm sure this has been covered before but her is my method to save money. Spray the living crap out of the door latch with a quality spray lube like Valvoline synthetic or Triflow. If you dont see lube dripping out of the bottom of the door you haven't sprayed enough. Spray for 5 seconds directly into the latch opening, close and open the door 10 times, repeat until lube is puddling on the floor. If you have mechanical ability remove the door panel and spray from inside and at the same time you can adjust the link rod to the outer handle by pulling the lock clip out towards the front of the car, remove the threaded portion of link rod from clip and push upwards to remove all slack and push back into clip and reinstall lock clip.

 

check the FAQ's though, for a step-by-step for removing the door panels. the Prev. owner of my '02 did a bang-up job... as in 'they got it all banged-up'.

 

I will have to check that out.. I have the same issue on my pass side front door. So far I am digging this site
