Default Driver Side Window Problems*

I have problems with my window rubber seals getting bunched up while rolling the windows up. Has anyone encountered this? It started with a rubbing sound while rolling up that I just tolerated over the years that eventually turned into this. Here's some pics & a video. Any help is appreciated. Hi.

It seems that you window "channel" needs some lubrication. Here in icecold Norway we use a silicon based lubricant in wintertime to avoid windows freezing to the rubber seal. As you live in Honolulu it may be hard to get hold of. Also make sure your window "channel" is free of any debris.

funk, looking at the top picture, it appears that your "channel runner" is ripping and that is causing the running to bunch up in the corner, leading to the window having a hard time to close. You can get a new runner for $79 at jaguarparts.com. S&H would be in addition, but replacing it is pretty straight forward. Roll the window down, pull out the old runner, place the new runner loosely in the channel and then using popsicle sticks or other slim wood based stick, push the runner into place.

What appears to have happened is there should be a small tab at the bottom rear of the door glass where the rubber goes into the door. That has ripped for some reason, not providing a restraint to keep the runner down. So, when you put the new runner in, make sure to get that tab where it needs to be.
