Default Dry sump?

Anybody tried it? I'm looking at major work on my x type and it seems that a dry sump solution offers opportunities to pressurise the oil before start up, make it easier to change the oil gasket and give space for the transfer case duct to be out of the road.

I never heard any body doing dry sump on X-Type; If you do it, post some pics and write up how it was done.

Yea, I've never heard of it but interested. I race mine and there is nothing worse for a car than oil starvation in the corners. To compensate I fill every bit up to the full line for help in the corners and use 5w40. It's made it 14.5 hours so far, hopefully it makes the next 14.5 next month.
