Forgive my ignorance, but how do I go about getting email notification of a reply ?

 

Look on the black header line above on the left side for "User CP". Click on that and then on the left side scroll down to "Edit Options". Then scroll down to the "Messaging and Notifications" section. Then choose in teh "Default Thread Subscription" section if you want to be notified when a reply is made to something you posted.
