Here are some pics of the meeting today at Hartside Pass (highest cafe in England) and then down to Melmerby for lunch.
Those who were there were Hulkster,Stue,Tull and myself:-
The top of the pass was foggy at the cafe and some nosey soandso had a close up look at my brakes:-







Its a regular place for bikers...big and small :wink:


Shortly afterwards down the hill in Melmerby and a stop for lunch.
Luckily Stue had had his brakes fixed so didnt have to worry about ending up in the stream:-

Nearly wiped the car out on the way home by a Sunday driver who wasnt paying attention to where he/she was going as I was passing who decided to go over the centre of the road and was inches from hitting me...good job for the Ceramic pads and grooved discs.My wife nearly went into labour 48 hours early[X(]

 

Oh my. Congrats on the pregnancy, and glad to know you're ok. Didn't even know you were expecting. Go buck, and I can only expect pics of the kid after he/she is born!

 

You didn't know he was expecting??? Do you read what buck writes? We've had conversations about this! Wow you really must be busy because I am brain dead 99% of the time and I even knew it! Congrats buck...I await your pics of the baby...BTW your car is by the far the best looking...I was going to say the only thing missing is tint but with tint we wouldn't see the sexy red seats!!!

She has been in hospital now around 4.5 hoursand they started the inducing around 3.5 hours ago.My mother is staying at ours to make sure my son Ben gets off to school and I get up to go to the hospital.I usually rely on my wife to get me up but cant if shes not here.Could be up to 48 hours theres no way to know for sure.Still it gives me time to clean the inside of the car a bit more ready for the youngest Jag driver shots....

 

Well we wish you the best and say hi from all of us! Congratulations as well! Hey man watch out for those doctors guesses to time...they told us not til' 8-10 at night well it ended up being like 4 something...it happened all of a sudden within like 30 minutes! Well anyways congrats and God willing everything will be good to go! I would say make sure you get back here with pics but we all know we don't have to remind you!

What does bidi mean?

 

Bucks surname is Rogers...........hence the nickname of Buck
Buck Rogers in the 25th century was a television programme with FACE from the A Team.
He had a small robot type sidekick that used to go........" bidi bidi bidi.....go get em Buck"

fyi. Gil Gerard played Buck Rogers. the guy who played "face" was Dirk Benedict. Dirk got his start in another early sci-fi tv show. Battle Star Galactica playing a character named Staruck. not to be contrary but man... I'm frickin' old. LOL.

 

oh yeah the robots name was twiggy and he had a clock looking gadget around his neck ala flavor flav. i think the clock gadget was called dr metropolis. had the most scrumptous erin grey, from siver spoons. man where did the 70's and early 80's go...and yes twiggy constantly said beedy beedy. if I recall correctly his voice was provided by the incredible talents of mel blanc. god why do i know this stuff. anywho. more scotch for Bill. think,think,take a drink.

 

I think he knew that I think he was saying it had face the guy from the a-team on that show with the buck guy...or maybe he didn't! Not sure he was saying that buck rogers was face just that face was on that...

 

Man and that was like what 30 years ago??? Did you watch it recently? I can't even remember the episode of prison break I watched 2 nights ago!

 

no just remember the most trivialest of things. can't remember my phone number sometimes but could tell you the sound engineer on the first 3 van halen albums.LOL
