Ever wondered if 18x10s would go under the front of a lowered X-Type...
They do. 18x10 Porsche Twist with 215/35/18 - These are a few preview shots until I do a few decent ones.

I will do Mina Gallery center caps - just because I like them - not because they sold me these wheels.

+1 on pab's comments Jeremy!
Your car as always looks amazing, in some ways I am quite envious.
Then I think as I see some of the young boy racers around here with extreme lowered cars who take ANY kind of bump at 5mph and shudder to think what the ride is like and the envy disappears.
It always returns for a short while but I just think it must make the car almost undriveable in real life.

The irony is that in terms of wheel/tyre classified, only the ones with stretched tires are probably going to be perfect and the ones with a ton of sidewall are always curbed. I call it user error more than design flaw. If you are destined to curb or bend a wheel, it doesn't matter how much tire you have or sidewall protection.
My neighbor with a Ford Explorer and about 8 inches of sidewall eventually curbed her tires (not wheels) enough to where one failed on her. I would tell her husband that it couldn't be safe that she's driving around with steel belts showing on the tires, and despite that protection level, one failed.
I actually liked your old rims more than these.
Your car would never survive the roads here. Since they began filming the Avengers movie here a few weeks ago, I've seen several Lambo's, Ferrari's, Lotus's, etc. driving around. A Lambo lost a good chunk of lower body panel after hitting a "normal" pot-hole.
Just listening to them scrape and crunch sends shivers through me.

Isn't the rim going to impact the edge of the fender flair with the smallest bump? How much suspension travel does the car have? Just a style thing but I prefer to see the arcs of the body, tire, wheel in alignment.
But I love seeing all the new styles you try!

Not putting 'em on until you do the Sentas.
What an incredible shot! Personally I thought the XF wheels on your car looked perfect. However, this is great looking as well.
I guess if your raise it by 1.5 inches while driving you're pretty safe from the regular bumps and pot holes. The valet's parking guys would make a mess of the rims around here. No doubt about it. I've gotten my rims scratched so many times - it's just a big pain :|
Don't know if I'm even going to bother putting them on anymore- Jag is up for sale and if I sell it it'll be with the 18s. On another note... Wanna buy some Sentas?!
You know this is our destiny. PM me with a price.
Can you post some pictures of what your car looks like at the height when you are driving it?
OK, this look is new to me. The tire beads look like they're not seated on the rims. How do you get them mounted like that? Any fears of rolling a bead off the seat? Not my kind of thing, but it's kinda' cool looking!
