Default Factory Exhaust nightmare

Here is the factory set up...as you can see it's a mess and with the cats being right up against the engine, the heat that is generated is enormous....

here are a few pics of the headers mock up.....so much nicer, more room, less heat and a lot less restriction.

As for the HP gains, not really sure since it can be debated from not till the cows come home....time will tell and dyno testing will show the end results..

Heck ya! Lets see, costume made, one of a kind, other comapines are call me wanting to know if I'll sell, more hp, better exhaust note, less engine clutter, less heat....

Ya, 400 bucks isn't bad....considering I paid that for my el camino's headers.....so i think it's about right....no regrets! (not yet anyway)

Of all the mods, the best one was the porting of the intake. Expect about 5-10 hp. I didn't do the air box because the 05's don't have that lip.

Most likely, but it could also cause for too much air to come into the engine and cause for the ecu to want to over-compensate with gas and despite the better performance, the mileage might be the same or worse!

Talking about that......I was speaking to the dealer yesterday re ECU upgrade on the Audi.........takes it to 176bhp from 140 and to 410 nm of torque from 305 nm......all for £650!
He also happened to mention that you can expect around 10% fuel savings as the engine runs that much more efficiently even though there is more power on tap. Unless you cane it all the time obviously.
In effect..........if you do high enough mileage, over time it pays for itself!

The power on tap would make a big enough difference to do it! Look on ebay you might get lucky and find one on there?
