i believe there is a climate controll module behind the glove box which is known to burn out causing multiple/similar problems. are you able to verify that power is being sent to the unit?

Is it one of the relays? because the only one that might be faulty is the blower relay.
But i will have a look soon so will let you know what im up to.
Thanks

Hi Five Speed - yes something to be said for an on/off switch opposed to computer controlled :-) and glad I'm not alone in this lol
I have pretty much same spec but instead of USB & MP3 I have a Kenwood CD changer with the ashtray replaced with the header module..
My logic with the car was that where I love all the extra bells and whistles of a fully loaded car - a Classic is simples.. less to go wrong.. :-)

To be honest guys I thought it will be something like a fried ecu or something harder to fix this but the simplicity of this car(simplicity in the good way) is just awesome!!!
Still got some bits and bobs to fix like the abs sensors but firstly will give them a good clean
and see how it goes before buying new ones for now.

Remember when checking the ABS sensors.. give them a good clean on sensor surface, clean the cable connections and check the state of the toothed disc below it... hopefully that will likely sort them for you

Hi guys an UPDATE
so yesterday I managed to clean the abs sensor and its working fine the engine management light went off and the errors which came up on my scanner are not there any more. WIN!!!! wowwowwow hold on a sec with that win
My problem now is the abs light is still on although I have no error showing on my OBD scanner only getting ERROR P1000 and thats it I searched google several time but cant really get a clear answer on how to fix it any advice??? Could it be that my rear brakes
need changing?

P1000 means everything is good, that's the code you want to have.

As far as the ABS, does it feel like it's activating when you hit the brakes? I had a wheel bearing replaced once and every time I hit the brakes I would get that pulsating feel of ABS kicking in. Then after a few stops the ABS system would realize something was up, the ABS light would come on, and the pulsating would stop. Turned out to be a non-OEM bearing that wasn't compatible with the ABS sensor.

So if you replaced any wheel bearings recently, I would start there.

I dont know if they have been changed as I bought the car about 3-4 weeks ago and im trying to fix everything so will go and check everything so far I managed to Clean the sensors all the way round I had error c1175 and two other to do with abs sensor when i cleaned the sensors they have gone and there was no further faults so im happy about that but the abs light is still on dont know why..... I got my dad to help me out with this one-I opened the bonnet and took out the abs connector from the abs pump the light went out for a fraction of a second and said DSC on and when the light came on it said DSC faulty. any ideas on this one???
I also cleaned the connection with some electrical contact cleaner which did not help
Also on the information screen between RPM and Speedometer it says DSC Faulty.
I will have a look at the abs rings and will tell you what im up to.
also could the problem be that i need to change my rear brakes???

If you are getting the P1000 code and you fixed the problem, but did not clear the code you might need to go through several driving cycles and if the issue is not there the light will go off on its own. Give it a little more time. I can't remember how many cycles it might be 6 and you have to drive a certain amount of time and at a certain speed. Give it a little more time and let us know what happens.

It usually takes approx three days of light driving for my management light to go out when I get a one off error.. so yes, good advice from Alfadude..

If I understand correctly, your check engine light is off and you only have the ABS light on now?

If so, does the light come on immediately when you start the car or does it take a little bit of driving before the light comes on?

thanks for the advice
and emeraszek yes the engine management light went off after cleaning sensors and the abs light comes on straight after the engine is turned on.
