Smile Fiberglass Corner Box for X-Type

Would Anyone be interested in a fiberglass corner box. I own Los Labs (www.loslabs.com) and I recently purchased an X-Type for my shop as a loaner vehicle. We specialize in custom fiberglass work and all ready produce several very popular fiberglass enclosures for other vehicles. The enclosure I plan to produce is for the rear trunk corner on the passenger side. It can be designed to accomidate either a 10" or 12" subwoofer. And if there is enough interest, I will also offer one for the driver side as well. The box will cost around 200 dollars plus shipping and will be available in either a factory (grey carpet) finish or a custom finish (suede, gator, etc.) for a little more. This box will be available by December 15, 2009. All of my products carry a lifetime warranty and are guarunteed to be free from manufacturer defects. They also ship within seven (7) business days. I have been in business for over ten years and am not a fly by night company. Also, for 10 bucks you can buy a downloadable hour and a half, step by step how to make a fiberglass corner box video if you would like to make your own. It is also available at the website. Please respond.

I would be interested, it would have to fit very snug and look factory though. Like the BMW Sedan you have listed on your webpage gallery.

Also if you could make an OEM-looking surround for a double din navi to fit for our headunit area I would also buy that.

Great! Thanks for your interest. What sub would you want iyt made for? Also, do you think others would be interested in a double din kit. I can offer it in the grey or the wood finish.

I would be interested in the box and dash piece as well. Particularly the sub box.

Wow that BMW kit looks awesome. If you could do something that clean for the x-type I would possibly be interested in a 12" version

Yeah def 12", maybe a JL W6v2? or to make it really lowpro, their TW5...but I dont have any experience with the TW5. Also I would like to try and see it match factory carpet, or possibly a suede in the same color.

I would only need a 10 in. sub. I want it to look as though the car came with this rather than a custom sound system. I would probably mount the amp in with the cd changer on the other side of the trunk.

Great looking work, Loslabs. I think a Double DIN kit would be a great product. I could possibly be interested in one as well.

I am going to be offering the 12" version within the next week. The price will be 200.00 dollars plus shipping and, for now, will only be available in the grey carpet finish.

It will be an OEM fit. Velcrow will secure it on the back or if you screw it down from the inside before you put the sub in-either way. It will be perfect however. Our designers strive for a perfect OEM fit.

Hi -- can you tell me the volume (as in air space) inside the box? Which speaker do you recommend for this size enclosure? Much obliged...

There already is an OEM looking double DIN surround, painted the exact same color as the OEM A/C and radio control faces.

I'd be down for a nice sub box though, depending on the location and price for it

As far as I can see it looks like this kinda died a death a little while ago, although the product looked great and there was interest for sure!
Loslabs doesn't seem to have been active for quite some time here....why not send him a mail asking about this?
Invite him back to the forum to update us on what he's been doing?
