Is this a flawed or damaged windscreen?
Hi fellas and Ladies,
Apologies for not being on in a while, have just been busy.
After a thug neighbour vandalised my tyres and windscreen, my fornt heated windscreen has been replaced.
Sadly please take a look at the images, I would like to know if you think this
is right, as I don't think so?
The line has been described as the location of the heater element and I am
being told it is not a flaw and I am also told by the windscreen guys they are
NOT fobbing me off.
I personally believe the guy has pressed too hard when gluing the new
screen and that is why it looks cracked but the split is in a straight line.
Can one of you specialists please advise?
Due thanks in advance accordially, cheers, Stuart

I agree with Paul, I did not replace the wind screen, but have done the rear window of other car myself, the special black paint was print on the glass to help the cement glue tight on the frame, any scratch or imperfection on that paint will show up on other side of the glass, when handle the wind screen the guy must scratch it, unfortunately you can not retouch it now, the scratch is in between the glass and the cement. May be you should ask the guy to redo it.
