front bumper splitter?

Default front bumper splitter?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true does this 'splitter' connect underneth the front bumper? it looks like a sporty up-grade but have never seen it on another jag before. has anyone ever seen this?

tants, look at the opening on the front of your car beneath the license plate. In that opening, there is a piece of plastic that gets mounted in there that breaks that opening up into 2 spaces. The piece in the e-bay offer is that piece. From the looks of it, it appears to be identical to the standard piece. It looks a lot like the one from my car which is a standard X-type. The only difference is that it may be painted vice being the raw plastic that the standard X-types get.

All X's have them unless they are fitted with the lower mesh grill. Actually, since I have gone to the lower mesh, I have one stitting around somewhere, platinum in color. I should put it in the classifieds along with wheel centers, smoke side repeaters, and other stuff I don't need but one of you might.
