Ok--my check engine light for the front has been on so I got a new cat from jagbits and just an FYI you need to put your own studs in to mount it -- I was hoping for a plug and play but had to buy a bs kit from advanced auto and it worked ok (with some helicoils which I wasn't happy about)--the cat is about 1/2 the size as factory so there is no place to bolt the bottom support bracket on.

I had done the citric acid boil on both cats and the rear is still fine, but the front failed because the matrix broke apart from age--but it was clean!

Also took Thermo's advice and replaced both battery cables too beacuse I was getting an intermittent battery light and the charging system checked out fine...
