Front wheel shimmy when brakes apllied
I have installed new rotors, new pads, and new tires, I still have a front wheel shimmy when I apply the brakes. Would anyone have any idea what else to check for. I have not rotated tires yet. I want to get new tires on the back as well first, and then rotate them, Just to rule out a bent rim. The car will guide to the right if I take my hands off the wheel.
This is on a 2002 X-type 133,413 miles. Still drives and runs like it's brand new, no leaks of any kind. I do baby it. I've always done my own maintenance and repairs on it. Nothing major yet. Maybe I'll get another 133,+++ miles on it.
The wheel shimmy is driving me nuts though. Only other things I can think of, is a porportioning valve, pulsating caliper, or lastly a master cylinder.
Thanks to all that post here. A lot of your post have helped me in my routine maintenance.

The rotors you bought are probably warped. Happens. You'd have to measure the run out with a dial indicator. Are they factory rotors or aftermarket? I ALWAYS recommend factory brakes, not just because I'm a tech, but because in my experience, even on my own cars/truck I run factory brakes, and they perform the best, IMO.

Shimmy on braking
The rotors are aftermarkets, drilled and slotted. Though it did this before I changed to the aftermarket ones. The old ones were stock. Also it only does it when applying the brakes. I will take the rotors off and take them into the shop on monday to check the run out, maybe I can fix this on the lathe. I will let you guys know. thanks to everyone who answered with their possible diagnosis. Much appreciated.
Also the old tires were michelins, even wear all the way across. I only changed them out because the wear sensors in the tires were making the nobb-nobb noise, even though the tires still had plenty of thread left on them.
