G92, it sounds to me that you are experiencing an issue that the car sees detrimental and it is limiting the engine RPM to a safe speed. With that being said, what is causing it is hard to say. The first check I would do is to turn the key to the "RUN" position (do not start the engine) and see if the Check Engine light comes on. It should. If not, then that would explain why you are getting the restricted performance and no indications. From there, your local auto parts store should be able to connect up a code reader and see what codes are stored inside of your ECU (engine computer). From there, we can help you out a lot more.

By the way, come on over to the "X-Type" section (a little further down on the main screen than the General Topic section. There you will get a lot more specific information relating to your car than what you may get here.

Welcome to the forum g92,

I've moved your post from General Tech Help section to the X-Type section. This is the place to post your model-specific questions.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST section and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice on posting to the forum.
