junk door latches
Most of the time you can pull directly straight up, not out, on the exterior door handle and jiggle it to get the door open, if not and the interior handle doesn't work either, you r gonna have to access the latch asm from the inside withe the door closed. Make sure the window is UP. Now behind the inner PULL handle, not inner latch release handle, there is a penny size trim cover, pop that off and take out the phillips screw. Then pull briskly and fast one the top half of the inner door panel. It won't come totally out cause there are still 2 screws @ the very bottom that u can't see w/ the door closed. Now if you have a small flash light look @ the latch asm. while operating the inner release handle. This will be very tight and hard to doan but you will be opening the door directly @ the latch. I've done it plenty of times and its hard as **** but works.
P.S. It probably looks hot when u climb over the console and strattle the shirter!

I had this problem as well. Actually had to push against the door and pull up to get in. Opening from the inside was impossible. I looked at the latch and it was very rusty looking. It may sound simple but I flooded the latching part of the door with WD-40. and worked it back and forth a few times. Everything loosened up works great havn't had a problem since June.
