Headlights Stuck on Bright

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem with their X-Type headlights being stuck in bright mode (or dim mode, for that matter)? The switch on the steering column doesn't feel any different so I'm not thinking that it's a mechanical problem with the dimmer mechanism, but perhaps something else (relay perhaps?). I have an extended warranty, but with a $200 deductible, so my first attempt at solving this would be to do it myself and avoid the dealer (who'll most likely magically come up with an estimate of $199 to fix).

Any thoughts?

Bump moves threads to the top..But no..LOL, I just thought it was comical as to how many Headlight threads was going at the same time..this list I bumped was to the 1st of the year..not counting the HID and Bulb replacement threads..
