Default Heater Core Replacement

Has anyone replaced a heater core in a 2004 3.0 x-type?
Need any help that you can give. The core is leaking antifreeze out the drain hose.
Thanx
Rick

Kik, in short, you are going to end up removing the whole dash to get at the heater core. Wish there was a better answer, but that is the short of it. i am not aware of a way to pull it out the side or something like that.

Its a pain but Chris is right Almost the whole dash will need to come apart to remove the core.

Sorry for the bad news.

Good Luck,
The Dr!

Default Heater Core Hose Size

I guess for now I will need to bypass the heater core with a new hose. Anyone know what size the hose should be and will it need to be a different size at each end?

Thanx Rick
