I have a 3.0 sport (2001). I don't know if coincidental but hit a kerb around 2 months ago. Started to hear a slight whine a month later suspected from Nearside front. Driving tonight whine got louder and then ended up with a lound banging clunking noise. Limped home but eventually lost drive and had to get towed. Jacked up car with all wheels off ground, although could hear clunking could not see anything obvious. It is possible to stop a wheel when it is in drive (don't know if this is usual). I am now off the road and stuck without transport. Worried that this could be time consuming and expensive by changing part after part as a process of elimination. I would think obvious problems are driveshafts/propshafts?

Has anyone got any good advice to get me on the road as quick and economical as possible.

All advice would be gratefully appreciated.
