Help with gauge problem

First off, I just want to introduce myself since I'm the newbie. My name is Josh, and I have a '03 x-type. Secondly my problem is that none of my gauges are working. I can turn the car and everything works however, my tach, speedometer, fuel, and temp gauges don't respond. Any ideas? TIA.

Check your fuses....if fuses are ok, you may have a bad ground near the right side fender.
If all that checks out, try hooking up the scanner and see if you get a code..

turn the car?? does that mean steer it around corners?? do you mean turn on? if so then a car does not turn on.. the ignition switch is turned.. the engine turns over (cranks), then fires, then starts, then runs.....
I dont really know what you are asking..

Haha. I'm sorry about my lack of re-reading my post for clarity. What I meant to say was that I can turn the ingnition on, and all over instruments work (i.e. lights, radio, etc.) but the entire gauge cluster is non-responsive.

really seems like a fuse or something disconnected like a main connector to theback of the gauge cluster. does the message display work? how about the warning lamps? is it just the 4 needles that dont move or more?

At least he's doing something to make the money instead of begging for money on the corner of the streets...could be at the corner with nasty clothes and no teeth!

Hey, i did save him about 100 bucks! Even if it was just a fuse.....

Sounds like you need cash, a bus, few pairs of ear plugs, couple of whips, and a couple of spare minds for when you lose yours!

By the way the dealer would only charge $100 for a fuse! I figured they'd charge 100 for fuse 120 for labor and 20 just for pulling your car into the garage!
