help with MAP sensor location on a jaguar x type 2.0
hello i am having a problem locating the map sensor on my car , could any one advise or send me a picture of the location on the engine please, i have scanned the errors and it states p0108
Wish mine was that clean...was a stock photo I found ;-)
Here is the parts diagram I found for the 2.0 diesel which includes the MAP sensor (looks like two variants depending on VIN and boost).
Appears to be inserted into intercooler lines.
Might be a bit comical to reach.....
cheers pal been ruining my head trying to find it , taken all the front bumper of to see if i could get under to have access to the lower left radiator pipe to undo......in the end it was easier to remove the whole pipe as a whole , i have found oil in the lower left intake pipe of the radiator should i be concerned
Could just be some accumulated condensate from the PCV system found its way there......don't know the 2.0 or 2.2 diesel engine at all, but the petrol variants can get quite a bit feeding back into their intake manifolds, but they also don't have turbos and inter coolers either.
I suggest you post a new thread asking if it is normal to find some oil at that location, if not what causes to look for.
Be aware that there are mostly petrol variant members on this site, so diesel info can be a bit rare.
There are UK members on this site, so they are the likely best source of knowledge for your engine questions.
FYI; It pays to add your model, engine size, year of production and transmission to your signature info, so anyone looking at any of your questions will know what they are responding to.
