Help with several issues
Hi guys
My wife has a 2002 X TYPE 3.0 AWD
It seems that the electrical connector that goes to the bottom of the throttle body is almost completely damaged and needs to be replaced. I duct taped it for now after it came loose and caused a cel with code: p1229. Car is working fine now.
I don't want to take it out again and I don't remember how it looked.
Could someone confirm please if this will work to replace it (ebay) or this from ROCKAUTO
Also, I have white smoke coming out of the IMT on the side of the engine .. I think it's time for the O rings to be replaced ... where is the best place to order them?
Finally, when it is very cold outside the car hesitates a lot and the brakes almost don't work (pressing hard barely stops the car if I drive it while it is still cold) .. the check engine light then blinks but goes away and the idle is rough until it warms up .. I'm not sure where to start to troubleshoot this?
thanks a million in advance for your help and I hope 2014 treats us all much better than 2013 did

abdo, unfortunately, I don't think either one of those is going to work as the plugs are keyed to a specific function. So, about the only way that you are going to get what you are after is to either buy a complete engine harness or to go to a wrecking yard and get the complete harness that way (they won't let you just cut the one plug off as that destroys the whole harness and that makes it worthless to them, on the other hand, if you can find one that someone has already destroyed, you might be able to get a break).
The local yard that you will most likely have any luck with is Brandywine as they have a European yard that has a few X-Types in it.

abdo, if you get the harness through the dealership, you can plan on about $500 or so. A place like Brandywine will still want about $200 or so for it.
Unfortunately, the other end goes to a plug on the ECU. There are no connections between those two points per the diagrams. If you do find another plug to go on there, let me know as I have something that I will recommend you use to seal with wiring back up to minimize problems in the future.

The pick and pull (pull your own part) near me doesn't care and will let you cut the wires. But ask yours first to be sure.
You may have some luck looking at wrecked Fords and Lincolns for a matching connector.
My connector crumbled during the engine swap. I zip-tied the remnants back on. It's been there over a year now. No problems.
