So, in short, I will have 16.7 millions colors to choose from. Now, which color do I want?
This should NOT be mentioned!!! I thought about the 16.7 million colors, but I just don't think that's enough options!! If that's all I get, might as well just use a 7 color option!!!

When I make up my mind, I'll post pics of the results. Thanks, again guys!

**Edit - I was looking for my truck and copied the wrong link, but they have these listed for Jaguars as well.**
I looked but couldn't find one for the car at the time I was doing the installation. Did you find one that actually works?

I have not. I just saw this and was wondering if you had reason not to use one. I may see if I can match one of these up with what is in the X. Just so I know...had you seen these exact ones on this site already? If so, I would assume I wouldn't need to waste time looking.

It's been a couple months but that site does look familiar. I know I searched for relays for our car on Google and checked most of the sites but couldn't find anything.

Trust me, I would have rather just swapped out a relay instead of messing with the wiring.

Hey guys...about to order my HID's for the fogs and low beams, but had one last question. I'm looking at the Maxlux kits on Amazon and it seems they only have slim ballasts for the fogs. Do you think they are still ok? I've heard a lot of bad things about the slim version of ballasts.

Slims here too. Got them for both the fogs and low beams on the wife's car.

I now have 2 full-size maxlux kits in my car and they work great. I did notice that they seem to only sell the full size ones as replacements and the slim ones in kits, but I would be willing to bet that the slim ones are also good.

chiefshb, let me guess, you are upgrading the backup lights in your Explorer and then also the bulbs for some off-road lights. LMAO.

If you need any help, let me know. But, I think you will find the project pretty easy to do. One tool that I will recommend you get is what is called a "step drill bit". This is one of those funny looking drill bits that has about 10 steps on it to allow you to drill 10 different size holes. Get the one that goes from like 3/16" to 7/8". This makes drilling the hole on the backside of the low beam cover super easy and will be well worth the $15 you will spend.

VERY close Thermo...lol! The truck actually got new sway bar links in the front and back, all 4 shocks, new plugs and wires, and front brakes today...no lights, though...YET!!

Thanks for the heads-up on the drill bit. I think I have one already..if not, I will.

chiefshb, sounds like you are getting the vehicles ready for the winter. I lived in Orlando for 18 months and got to see a white christmas down there (Christmas '89). OH the days of being in the navy schooling down there. Now the base is a big housing development. I was sad to see the base leveled the last time I was there.

On a side note, if you know someone looking for a truck, let me know. I am selling my Expedition. I am sure the truck will turn heads as it is running around on 37" tires with only a 4" lift. It is fun driving it, especially over rabbits, VW Rabbits. I am getting rid of it because it no longer suits my needs and am looking for a new toy (11 XFR, 11 XK, or 08 Lotus Elise).

Haven't seen a white Christmas, but it did "snow" a couple years ago. It was actually more like frozen rain, but it did accumulate. Never seen worse traffic!!

The base has been gone since I've been here. It's called Baldwin Park, now. A very upscale area.

I don't know anyone looking for a truck, but an Expedition on 37's sounds impressive. I'm looking to put 33's or 35's on my Sport Trac. It can't handle anything more than 35's...even then, it will require serious trimming. Got any pics?

Sweet!! You planning on getting rid of the X as well?

A guy I work with has 2 Lotus Elise's. I don't know what year, but I know he was selling one. It's rare to see someone go from an Expedition on 37's to a Lotus Elise!! Not saying there's anything wrong with it.

I will post some pictures this week, I finally have a break with Thanksgiving around the corner.

Also, Thermo, I will finally be able to do some further testing on my brake lights. I'll post the results in my other thread

cheifshb, well, I have had the transition vehicle of the Jaguar X-Type. So, it isn't quite the leap like you are thinking. When it comes to the Elise, I have been told to go for the 07+ version as the seats are much nicer and will allow you to handle a long drive. The earlier ones will, but you may be a little bit stiffer at the end of the ride. The big thing deterring me from the Elise is the fact of having to get in and out of the vehicle. Once you sit in one, you will understand what I am saying.

Evan, when you get to it, you get to it. But, from the sounds of things, your problem lies with the LED bulbs that you have.

Well...headlight adjusters in both assemblies...windshield washer nozzles in...LED's in the running lights...HID's in the low beams. Woke up too late to get the fogs done. That'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Hmm...now I am concerned. I've been looking around and all the threads in this forum say the fog HID's should be H1. When I ordered mine, the site said they were H11's, so that's what I bought.

Is this gonna F'up my install?
