Holy crap I got my car back

Holy crap I got my car back
Finally got the call on Friday that my car was ready to pick up. feels like I just got it all over again (after driving the Hyundai rental for eight days). The oil smell they said was caused by an oil filter that wasn't tight enough and slopped oil on the undercarriage . The oil change was done as part of the dealer service to put the car on the lot, not done by me. New pads and rotors in the back and a new wheel stud and it's back in my driveway. WOOT!

He's got a point Cam...........try the Superunleaded or Premium whatever it is you use over there, usually a little more expensive, but gives you a little boost, almost like a few more bhp...........just seems more responsive all round, sharper, you know.

RE: Holy crap I got my car back
if you drive it .. it will break... if you have it running well... then just get a car cover and start advertising it for sale.... every mile you drive will cost you more than the litre of milk that you are picking up .. ahhahahhah....
seriously. this is a car to maintain and use when you enjoy it... I would not put unnecessary miles running errands .... save the good running state for a proper trip, not for mundane errands... I promise you it will soon be back at the dealer again. and your wallet will be forced open..
* for amusment purpose only*

I am the master of maintenance.. I preach it everywhere I go. If there was something to maintain on my car I would do it. The dealers that I have been to ( so far 4 of them) all get a low score on technical competance and general customer service. The parts that have failed on my car are not usual car failures.
All I want is a nice running car without rattles or shakes, or bad noises. I also wantfaulty parts or warranty claims handled competently with some concern for me (and the trouble it has caused me). .. is that too much to ask?
My car has been a pain in the *** to own.. and the forum is for sharing experiences.
I have advertised my car for sale at 20 percent less than I bought it for. and not a single call.. It is the second cheapest on on Autotrader. these cars depreciate faster than I can change the asking price.
also keep in mind that my car is in fact a good one.. not a lemon. It has ALL the maintenance done, it has ALL the options, and I am a fanatical owner. I keep it as perfect as I possibly can. It is clean and shiney and the interior is in Very good condition.
I am dying to replace whatever part is causing it to make noises.. but dealers cant seem to figure out whatI need to buy.

depreciation is realtive to your purchase price. i bought my 04 last july for $16.5 from a dealer and according to edmunds current prices are as follows: dealer is $17.5, private is $16.5 and trade in is $15.3. i can live with that, but chances are i will not sell this but run it until it dies.

man i miss that 300 so bad! My x handles damn sweet for a 4 door sedan with those shocks i have, but nothing compared to that little 2 seater with a staggered setup, eibach/KYBs (and a twin turbo 3 liter ) Im getting shipped out to africa with the marines in about 2 weeks, so the jag willbe put away...and maybe with my deployment money i'll get a little ttz to throw around for my troubles on my (safe) return.
