for a nominal fee of (i.e. $90usd) the *********** will go into your cars on-board computer and enable a feature called GLOBAL CLOSE that can be activated with the button on the keyfob, as long as youre in remotes range you can roll up your windows if it looks like rain from the comfort of your living room.

RE: Ignition key
When you take delivery of a new car.. the dealer is supposed to go through all the options that are customer tailored. there are options for extra wipes of the wipers among other things...
Just another example of how the dealerships are screwing the customers. The engineers added features to the car that are adjustable to make the customer happier. The dealerships dont follow the engineered plan.. and in the end they just try to take away more of the customer's money and have no interest in doing something to make the customer happier.
Anyway, I got a dealer to activate remote global close for a half hour labour fee and was able to sit next to the technician and choose what features to activate. I wish I could have regular access to these settings to try out different options.

RE: Ignition key
most of the things were set in a way that made sense to me, so I did not commit them to memory.
there were options for door locking, windshield wiping, and the global close. I would like the seat heaters to stay on Longer when switched to low, and I would like my doors to unlock when I switch off the ignition. I wish the windows and roof would continue to work with the car switched off - until you open a door like in my BMW.
maybe the tech's can chime in here.
