has anyone else had this problem---- the cd player stuck a couple times while trying to spit out a cd. the last time it did it it shows that a cd is still in the player, and will not take another one. it will not make any noise when you try and eject (thought maybe the mechanism was stuck). i just replaced the battery a few day's ago and had it out for awhile. radio didn't reset.

 

The battery swap wouldn't have anything to do with this. Unfortunately it's probably the player itself getting ready to give out.. or at least the load/eject mechanism. I know several people that have had the same problem with Fords and Mazdas. I haven't heard of this happening to ooften with the Jags, though.
Try finding one on ebay, or even sourcing one through a local junkyard. I'd be curious to know if it's the same unit (or guts) as the S-type cd player.
